Service Description
Reiki is a relaxation method that activates the body’s natural healing response by guiding the nervous system out of stress mode and into rest-and-repair. During a session, gentle hand placements help calm the vagus nerve, regulate breathing, and support the parasympathetic system — the part responsible for recovery, digestion, and emotional balance. Studies show that deep relaxation like this can reduce tension, ease pain, lower heart rate, and improve overall well-being. Reiki doesn’t require belief, spirituality, or a specific mindset; it simply encourages the body to shift into a state where healing becomes easier. Most people describe feeling lighter, clearer, or deeply refreshed afterward.
Cancellation Policy
These policies ensure a safe, respectful, and consistent experience for every client. By booking a session at Reiki Balance, you agree to the guidelines below. 1. Scope of Practice Reiki Balance provides non-medical, complementary wellness services. Practitioners do not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or replace licensed medical or mental health care. Reiki supports relaxation, stress reduction, and energetic balance. 2. Confidentiality All information shared during sessions is confidential except where disclosure is required by law (risk of harm, abuse reporting, or court orders). 3. Touch Policy Sessions may include light, non-invasive touch. Clients may request a hands-off session at any time. 4. Session Expectations Please arrive 5–10 minutes early. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session to respect the next appointment. Most sessions include a brief conversation, quiet relaxation, and optional reflection afterward. 5. Health & Safety Clients experiencing fever, contagious illness, or flu-like symptoms must reschedule. Practitioners may decline or end a session if a client appears impaired, unsafe, or engages in inappropriate behavior. Reiki Balance is an inclusive, judgment-free environment. 6. Cancellation Policy Cancellations or rescheduling require 24 hours’ notice. Appointments canceled within 24 hours may incur a 50% fee. No-shows may be charged the full session amount. Emergencies will be handled with compassion. 7. Payment Policy Payment is due at the time of service. Reiki Balance accepts card, cash, and gift certificates. Packages, promotions, and special offers must be used within the stated timeframe. 8. Professional Boundaries Practitioners maintain clear, respectful boundaries at all times. Inappropriate behavior results in immediate termination of the session without refund. 9. Consent All clients must sign a Reiki Consent Form before their first session. Clients under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign a Minor Consent Form and remain present. 10. Communication Questions or concerns may be directed to Reiki Balance by phone or email. Messages are typically returned within 1–2 business days. 11. Gift Certificates & Specials Gift certificates are non-refundable but transferable.
